INSTRUCTIONS

1) Open a blank page in your graphics program. Select the clipart of design whatever images you want on your window clings. Save the file.

2) Print your designs on the waterproof glossy adhesive-backed inkjet paper and let dry for a few minutes.

3) Peel the backing off the waterproof paper and lay it flat in front of you – sticky side up.

4) Take the cling sheet and with the peel off side facing you, line it up with the bottom of the waterproof paper. SLOWLY begin to adhere the cling sheet to the waterproof paper a little at a time to avoid any bunching or bubbling.

5) Press with your hand across the entire sheet to adhere well.

6) Cut out your designs.

7) We advise placing the decals under a heavy book overnight to make certain they remain flat, since the heavier weight of the waterproof paper can cause some minor curling after you have cut out the designs.

8) When you are ready to apply the decals, make certain your window is clean in the area to which you will be applying the decals. Any dirt or dust can decrease the “clinging” power of the decals.

9) Peel the backing off the cling sheet and apply the decals to the window.

To save the decals after you remove them, we suggest you place them on a sheet of baking parchment or a silicon release sheet (like the backing on a sheet of labels). Place a sheet of plain paper on top of them and store them with some weight on top of them so they stay flat. You may also place them in a large zip lock bag, making sure they are not overlapping, and place them under some books or magazines.

Until someone comes out with a widely available white inkjet window cling that is waterproof ( and we’ve been watching out for it for years!), this is a neat way to make your own!
