Can you see her? Lots of people, and especially those with kids, have seen the "Where's Waldo" games that challenge you to find the special character amidst a busy background. Well, here's our variation on that game. This card has a tiled pumpkin background and a tiny photo of the subject's face hidden in the Pumpkin Patch...in fact, the message on the inside of the card says just that! "Hiding in the Pumpkin Patch"! Any child is sure to find this card exciting and amusing as they search the front of the card for their own face! The graphic used for this card is freely distributed by its author and is available by using the link below. When you get to the page with the pumpkin graphic, simply right click to save it to your drive. Go ahead, have some fun with this one! MATERIALS Card stock Pumpkin clipart (see below) Photo clipart of subject for front of card INSTRUCTIONS 1) Open a half-fold card in "wide" orientation in your graphic software. 2) Import the Pumpkin.gif clipart from our link and duplicate it to make a tiled cover. (If you are using Printmaster, select the pumpkin.gif, then click Edit>Duplicate>Tiled Cover. This will duplicate the clipart and cover the entire front of the card with a tiled version of the design.If you are using another program, check the Help files for how to make a tiled cover.) 3) Import the photo of your subject's face and resize it so that it matches the size of one of the smaller pumpkins on the cover. Move the photo to cover one of those smaller pumpkins. Add your "Where's (insert name)" text to the front of the card. NOTE: If you are unsure of how to "clip" just the face from your photo, drop us a line and we will try to help you out. Or you can email us the photo and we will do it for you! 4) Copy the tiled cover and place it on the inside of the card. You may choose to cover the entire inside or only the bottom half, as we did. Now select that inside copy and change the color to a lighter shade. In Printmaster, select the color tool and pick one of the shades of grey. This will lighten the graphic. 5) Add your text. We used "Hiding in the Pumpkin Patch! Happy Halloween!" 6) Print your card on the card stock and either leave as a full-sheet card or trim the edges to take away any unprinted border. Or use our Print-to-the Edge card stock and envelopes and save yourself that extra trimming! There you have it!
