Magnetic Paper Dolls

This project was submitted by Sandy Miller of Arizona. She made these magnetic dolls for her grand-daughter, who spends hours at a time playing with them on the refrigerator while Sandy is in the kitchen. You can also make this toy portable by using a cookie sheet instead of the refrigerator! Sandy told us about the site for printing out these paper dolls - there are tons of them to choose from! Visit www.makingfriends.com/f_Friends.htm for all the paper dolls, clothes and accessories to keep your little ones happy for hours on end!

MATERIALS:

Magnetic inkjet sheets (see Products>Magnetic Inkjet Sheets).

Paper doll clipart or go to the link above to print out full sheets of paper dolls, clothes, accessories, even animals!

INSTRUCTIONS:

(This is a really simple one, folks!)

1) Design your paper dolls or use the link we have provided above. Print out a test page first to make certain the paper dolls line up on your page correctly.

2) Print the paper dolls out on your printable magnetic inkjet sheets. We used two sheets for the design shown. One for the doll and hairstyles and one for all the clothing and accessories. These came straight from www.makingfriends.com/f_Friends.htm

3) Cut out the paper dolls and clothing with a regular scissors. (You can waterproof them first by spraying with a couple of coats of our Waterslip Decal Finishing/Inkjet Waterproofing Spray to protect them against water damage.)

4) Let the little ones put them on the fridge and dress them in all their outfits, or use a cookie sheet so this toy can be used in any room in the house or even on trips!
